Consumer Duty Champions' Forum
Every firm needs a Consumer Duty Champion and this new online forum, independently chaired by Michael Lawrence (Principal Consultant at Bovill, formerly FCA Technical Specialist) with input from Johnny Timpson OBE, aims to support the sharing of ‘good practice’ more widely.
This Forum will enable Consumer Duty Champions, Compliance Directors and other appropriate Alliance members to raise and discuss key issues and challenges around the implementation of Consumer Duty.
The aim is for Forum members to see it as helping to make their role easier through new and shared ideas and innovations. This Forum has the potential to be a real engine room within the Alliance.
Michael says “I’m excited to chair the Consumer Duty Champions’ Forum and look forward to fostering a robust and inclusive dialogue that ensures our collective efforts lead to tangible positive impacts for consumers."
The next forum, Consumer Duty reality: how are adviser business models changing?, is at 10:00 AM, Thursday 7 December. It looks at the key building blocks of good advice and the practical steps firms have taken to comply with the Duty, and there’ll be time for questions from attendees. Learn more and register here.
The first forum Cutting through the Consumer Duty noise: what really matters? took place on 19 September, view the recording.
